LONDON! Feeling a bit jet lagged and wobbly we seized the day and headed into Westminster nice and early. After mistakenly admiring Westminster Cathedral for 15 minutes we realised Westminster Abbey (which we were actually searching for) was a few blocks over. Oops.
Springbrook is a mountain and plateau in the Gold Coast hinterland of South East Queensland, Australia.

The Lamington National Rainforest sits on the Lamington Plateau of the McPherson Range near the Gold Coast. The O’Reilly’s resort at the top of the mountain is popular due to the wildlife tours offered and the picturesque accommodation.
So unfortunately I had to work when the SuperMoon was at it’s most ‘super’. However I did have my first attempt at photographing the moon the day before it was at it’s biggest and I was pretty happy with the result considering my lens maxes out at 200mm.
Earlier this month Brisbane experienced a butterfly migration – yep butterfly’s actually migrate. I didn’t even realise until I noticed there were swarms of them in my backyard and decided to google why.
It made for some great photos and a chance to try out a 70-200mm lens I’ve borrowed from family. I took most photos at ISO 800, f/4, 1/1250 seconds using a rapid shot mode because they move ridiculously fast. Enjoy!
