Edinburgh was possibly one of my favourite places we visited over the course of our six week trip… I loooove this place and will definitely be back for a longer visit one day.
So deciding to take on a 13km hike in 30+ degree heat (86+ degrees fahrenheit) was possibly not the greatest idea but hey we made it…
First stop – Angel of the North. This seemly random statue chilling near a highway is the most viewed piece of art in the world – pretty cool! Other than that there isn’t much more to say about it… Moving on!
Day five we jumped on the coach and started our Topdeck tour throughout the UK & Ireland. Like much of our trip we somehow lucked out and had amazing sunny weather throughout the UK… must’ve brought it with us!
Our last full day (and a half) in London consisted of copious amounts of climbing and a couple of ferry rides which resulted in some bad sunburn for me (only I would suffer from sunburn in London…).
LONDON! Feeling a bit jet lagged and wobbly we seized the day and headed into Westminster nice and early. After mistakenly admiring Westminster Cathedral for 15 minutes we realised Westminster Abbey (which we were actually searching for) was a few blocks over. Oops.
Springbrook is a mountain and plateau in the Gold Coast hinterland of South East Queensland, Australia.
First of all after visiting Springbrook last week and posting a few images to my Instagram (@georgiaswain) Visit Gold Coast (@visitgoldcoast) Australia (an Instagram with 189k followers) shared my pic! Wanna have a look at my short lived insta fame? Click here to see the post.
Happy New Year Everyone!!
The Lamington National Rainforest sits on the Lamington Plateau of the McPherson Range near the Gold Coast. The O’Reilly’s resort at the top of the mountain is popular due to the wildlife tours offered and the picturesque accommodation.
